Have been using Quicken and been very pleased with UK version, except they stopped supporting it a year or so ago. I'm a bit late on this conversation, but. Conversion from the UK version to the US version is not straightforward though, and it's not something I can wish on anyone - you really have to be dedicated. For what it's worth, I use Money 2006 US for my file, even though I am UK based. Therefore I can't say one way or another whether getting Money 2005 UK is a wise move at the moment. That is an unknown, and one I am interested in seeing how it pans out. However, I am not entirely sure what will really happen then, partly because when they set that policy, the decision not to release a Money 2006 or Money 2007 in the UK wouldn't have been made.
The other caveat is that according to the EULA, quotes stop working on 1 September 2007. One thing about pension funds is that the prices for most funds are not on the feed ( FAQ Article 95), so there wouldn't be any price downloads, but that does not preclude you from having them in a file. The earlier comment about OFX downloads in 2005 is still valid, but Money 2005 is still being sold and other aspects appear to work under Vista. Hi Anthony not sure how good your praying is, but I would put a large sum of money down on there not being a Money 2007 UK product. As for the form of the fix - I don't know whether it'll be a Vista update, a Money update or something that needs to be downloaded from the Microsoft downloads site. I would say that Money 2006 doesn't seem to have the problem, but that's not available anywhere but the US, Canada and Japan, so is not a solution to UK users.
Microsoft Money support are well aware of the issue, as Money 2005 is still a supported product and a number of people have contacted them. I think they are targetting the general release of Vista, but as that is very close now, I am not sure whether it will be achieved. Hi Yes, there is likely to be a fix, although I don't know when it will occur. Since it looks like there is not going to be a release of Money 2007 UK before the general release of Vista, is there likely to be a fix released so that Money 2005 will work properly when importing OFX files - currently it does not work when installed on Vista.
